An Idea to Believe In

  Kunal has always been a restless child. Studying for him was something he never planned on to do. So even after graduating from high school and giving his board examination, he didn't plan on doing engineering. Unlike his elder brother who did engineering got a job in an MNC and is settled abroad with a ransom salary, Kunal was nothing compared to him. At the age of 18, he declared at home that he is quitting his engineering coaching. Engineering and Medical coaching is a trend in a small industrial town like Jamshedpur. With the literacy rate of 99 %, Jamshedpur boasts a high number of students enrolling into medical and engineering colleges. The situation has become so intense that 8 out of 10 students will opt for one of the two. Kunal wasn't interested in the trend, he enrolled for a diploma and said he wanted to do something of his own. So he did. He is one of the local entrepreneurs the city has seen. Where is the records of beauty? Do they even exist?

If you have seen "Avatar" you know how beautiful those  big trees  look. My garden has one of those. Not the one where the entire tribe lived but the ones which were big enough for humans. Not only my garden but everybody’s garden in my city has one of these. The forest behind me has one of these.    The tree must be about 50 feet or so tall and this is the smallest one. There are many taller ones in my backyard and the forest behind me .   Sometimes I wonder how the  Aadivaasis  (Jharkhand’s tribe) must have lived here before the British found my small town .   In the greed of rich coal and iron found here, they uprooted so many of these ancient trees and did not even keep a record.  I guess they   weren't  interested in keeping a record on their loot either. This tree is my backyard is some 100 or so years old and it is still in its growing stage. This means there must be trees that were older and even taller and bigger....
