Where is the records of beauty? Do they even exist?

If you have seen "Avatar" you know how beautiful those big trees look. My garden has one of those. Not the one where the entire tribe lived but the ones which were big enough for humans. Not only my garden but everybody’s garden in my city has one of these. The forest behind me has one of these.

The tree must be about 50 feet or so tall and this is the smallest one. There are many taller ones in my backyard and the forest behind me.  Sometimes I wonder how the Aadivaasis (Jharkhand’s tribe) must have lived here before the British found my small town.  In the greed of rich coal and iron found here, they uprooted so many of these ancient trees and did not even keep a record. I guess they weren't interested in keeping a record on their loot either. This tree is my backyard is some 100 or so years old and it is still in its growing stage. This means there must be trees that were older and even taller and bigger. Unfortunately, there is no record. No archives know about the forests of Jharkhand. No famous man wrote about the forests of Jharkhand. What is Jharkhand? Where is Jharkhand? You don’t know until you live here.

Don’t try to google Jharkhand or Jharkhand’s forests you will be disappointed. There are no picturesque pictures of this place. Unlike other countries that have so beautiful pictures like this one.

This is a famous picture from Montana, United States. Why is it famous?

Because it is beautiful. Maybe. But Jharkhand is also beautiful. However, what you see when you google Jharkhand is this.

Why did this happen?

There are hardly any pictures of the forests, the people, the culture, or anything that indicates Jharkhand.  Both Montana and Jharkhand are both states but this is what you will see.  Jharkhand is not the only state with this poor representation.

This is the reason people don’t come to Jharkhand. They go to the other states but not Jharkhand. This state does not lack anything, we have cities, forests, rivers, waterfalls, hills, and unique culture.

We need more people to explore the forests and the people. We also need the western media to take a step back and stop undermining our country’s outlook. India is way more than just poor and unsafe. All Asian countries are played under the hands of these media specialists who try to portray our unique culture as something backward and illogical.  Just because your country is developed doesn’t mean you can undermine the others.

This is the real Jharkhand, come and see for yourself.

Suspicious Partner- K-Drama

The drama aired in May 2017 and had 4o episodes. It was quite big for a normal drama but was worth it. The cast was the well known Hallyu star Ji Chang Wook along with Nam Ji Hyun. Choi Tae Joon and Kwon Nara were the side characters. I FELL FOR THE VILLIAN. No kidding. More than the main leads, the villain's acting was superb. He was the perfect psychopath I had ever seen. This drama is one of the best crime - thriller ever made. (Point of view from an outsider.)   BONG HEE: Let's take a moment to appreciate Nam Ji Hyun's visuals. Her part as Bong Hee is the best one so far. She is so consistent in the drama that it is cute. Also knows Taekwondo. Which is new. It is rare to see girls in kdrama as some athlete persons unless the drama is based on that theme. Her struggles are real as well- being a lawyer charged with murder and stuff. Sometimes one feels pity for her. However, the character in the drama is portrayed as super naïve and innocent to the point that sometimes sh...

The Lost Art

I was introduced to the world of spirituality and healing after I turned 20. I have always been a firm believer in supernatural beings and the divinity; however, I do not support idol worship. I believe there is a central power responsible for the working of this universe and it can be moulded in any clay with any name and any religion a human desires. The world of spirituality, however, is always confused with that of religion. There is no such relation between the two. One can be spiritual and non-religious. I developed this distinction between them last January when I met with a Brazilian spiritual healer. She explained to me the difference between the two with much ease. She also opened me to the cosmic world and its energies. "The easiest and surest way to tap into the cosmic energy around you is Intuition" she explained. Her way of reading the intuition was through Zen stones and stone charms. She used this intuition to help herself and others who asked for her ad...

An Idea to Believe In

Kunal has always been a restless child. Studying for him was something he never planned on to do. So even after graduating from high school and giving his board examination, he didn't plan on doing engineering. Unlike his elder brother who did engineering got a job in an MNC and is settled abroad with a ransom salary, Kunal was nothing compared to him. At the age of 18, he declared at home that he is quitting his engineering coaching. Engineering and Medical coaching is a trend in a small industrial town like Jamshedpur. With the literacy rate of 99 %, Jamshedpur boasts a high number of students enrolling into medical and engineering colleges. The situation has become so intense that 8 out of 10 students will opt for one of the two. Kunal wasn't interested in the trend, he enrolled for a diploma and said he wanted to do something of his own. So he did. He is one of the local entrepreneurs the city has seen. Even though Jamshedpur is an industrial city and very few entreprene...
